Answer
Promotions will always follow the parent rate when it comes to price, policies, meal plans and derived prices. However, for restrictions, channel and closed/open dates, the most restrictive condition will be applied.
Here are a few examples:
- If a parent rate has minimum length of stay (LOS) restriction of 3 nights, and the promotion has a minimum LOS of 5 nights, then an LOS of 5 nights will be applied.
- If a parent rate has a release time of 1 day, the promotion will replicate that release time unless specified otherwise.
- The promotion will always follow closed dates. If the parent rate is closed, the promotion will be closed as well.
- If the promotion is active and the parent rate is open, the promotion will be open for that date.
