Answer
To map rooms and rates from new or existing properties, use the roomrates (B.XML) call.
Make sure you check that all rate and room combinations are active, as it’s not possible to map inactive rates.
If the rate is marked as ‘readonly = “1”’ you will not be able to update the rate, but you will be able to retrieve reservations from it.
If a child rate is set with Rate Rewrite , as an active XML Res Rate and is following a parent rate in the extranet, it is by design not to be returned when calling roomrates (B.XML) and rates (B.XML) endpoints. The endpoints will only return child rates which are:
- non XML Res Rates
- XML Res Rates which do not follow a parent rate*
(*In those cases, the rate rewrites are not completely set up. You should inform properties that they need to seek assistance from the Tripeden.com local support team.)
