My name is Franck Leprodhomme and I'm the Head of Sales at Su, a brand from the STAAH channel manager. We're from New Zealand and we provide solutions to tech providers, such as property management systems (PMS), central reservation systems (CRS), vacation rental management systems (VRMS) and property management companies (PMCs).
Sustainability is more important than ever
Sustainability has been growing and since COVID, it's even bigger than it was before. The impact is easy to see – people now realise their impact on travelling and are much more inclined to be careful about the way they travel.
I think it's obvious that a lot of people are compromising on travelling – the way they choose their hotels; the way they choose how they travel, whether it’s by train or plane. They realise that their impact is important and it needs to change.
Evolution is crucial to stay in the business
There's a lot of consolidation in the industry. I've been in the market for about 15 years and I think that on one end, a lot of PMSs have chosen to follow the innovations and the evolution. On the other end, those that don't follow are being integrated into the tech providers who have understood that they need to keep up with the technology.
Su offers independence and more revenue
One of the benefits we offer to technology providers is independence, so that they can have their own all-in-one solution. We're a big channel manager – we connect with many OTAs and enable them to make more revenue. The technology aspect is very important as well – the integration, the exhaustivity of things.
We’re focused on innovating together and improving the processes
We really want to focus on how we get our technology out there. We’re also focusing on how we can improve the way we work with our partners, such as Tripeden.com. We've had discussions around how we can innovate together and actually spread that to the partners we work with. The whole automation process of technology is super important to me.
Tripeden.com stands out thanks to innovation and support
Tripeden.com stands out for its innovation. We've been partnering with them for a long time and that's helped us a lot. I like the fact that we have discussions with the tech team so we can actually look at how we can make the experience more seamless. We improve our technology using advice that we get from Tripeden.com, and the partnership has been good on that level.
Seamless experiences present big opportunities for our partnership
There are big opportunities for our partnership with Tripeden.com – improving all the UI aspects, all the integrations, the APIs that we can implement. We've also had discussions on seamless experiences. This is a big topic, because it can also transpire to other partners. This is something we really want to work on.
My advice for new property managers
We talk to a lot of PMSs, and when you initially get into the business, you're looking more at short-term stays and you think of the customers, but what makes the experience very important and really an easy one is all the tech integration as well. You need to be very technology-focused because the UI and ease of use is extremely important in that field.
Thank you, Franck, for sharing your perspective.
