Launching derivedprices v1.1 – the latest in our API modernisation efforts

We’ve updated the derivedprices endpoint of our Rates and Availability API – another step forward in our efforts to improve the API experience for you and your properties.

  • We’ve launched a new version (v1.1) of the derivedprices endpoint, which is a part of the Rates and Availability API.
  • The derivedprices endpoint enables properties to specify derived pricing for specific room/rate products.
  • The older version (v1.0) will be deprecated on 14 Feb 2025 and sunset on 05 May 2025.

We’ve launched derivedprices v1.1, an optimised version of the derivedprices endpoint. This update is part of the 2025 API Modernisation Project, which is dedicated to refining our APIs for the connected properties using them. What do you need to do?

It is key to understand that the updates to the derivedprices endpoint are breaking changes. You’ll need to migrate to v1.1 before the older version is sunset. Doing so will ensure uninterrupted access to the endpoint.

Here are the steps to follow:

  • Update the header ‘Accept-Version’ with the new version number ‘1.1’, along with the existing URL, as shown below.

  • Once the version number is changed, you can start testing the updates.
  • If you have any issues, reach out to Connectivity Support.
  • No issues? You can keep on using the new version in the production environment.

To learn more about the technical and implementation details of the updates, please refer to the migration guide.

What will happen to the older version?

The older version of the endpoint, derivedprices v1.0, will be deprecated on 04 Feb 2025 and sunset on 05 May 2025.

Once deprecated, we will no longer develop new features and improvements for derivedprices v1.0. It will no longer be available for you to use on the sunsetting date. After this point:

  • If you request the old version without indicating the version in the header, you’ll automatically be redirected to derivedprices v1.1.
  • If you request the new version by indicating ‘1.1’ in the header, you’ll continue receiving a response from derivedprices v1.1.
  • If you request the old version by indicating ‘1.0’ in the header, you’ll receive an error.
