In response to your feedback, we’ve launched an update to the OTA_HotelProductNotif endpoint that will help simplify your room rate management. The update is available for all Connectivity partners now. 

How room rate management used to work

Previously, the OTA_HotelProductNotif endpoint allowed you to create, update and remove room rates, but not retrieve them. To retrieve room rates, you also needed to implement the xml/roomrates endpoint. 

You’ve shared feedback that implementing the additional xml/roomrates endpoint was an extra hassle. The complications arising from having separate endpoints to read and write room rates, each with different schemas (xml/json) and attribute names, even resulted in mismatched room rates in some cases. 

Launching the updated OTA_HotelProductNotif endpoint

To help improve the room rate management process for you, we’ve added new functionality to the OTA_HotelProductNotif endpoint that replicates the xml/roomrates endpoint. This means you can now create, update, remove and retrieve room rates all with one endpoint. As a result, you’ll no longer need to implement or maintain the xml/roomrates endpoint. We’ve completed successful beta testing, and the updated OTA_HotelProductNotif endpoint is now available to all our Connectivity partners. 

If you already use xml/roomrates to retrieve room rates, you can continue using this endpoint or switch to the updated OTA_Hotelproductnotif endpoint. New users can skip implementing xml/roomrates and use OTA_Hotelproductnotif to create, delete, manage and retrieve room rates.
