The Promotions API supports nine different types of promotions. This includes Basic Deals, Early Booker Deals, Last Minute Deals, mobile rates, country rates, Late Escape Deals, Early year Deals, Getaway Deals and Black Friday Deals.

Choosing the right promotion

This solution offers various types of promotions, available for all properties to set up – depending on their business goals.


Increase bookings with highly customisable Portfolio deals

Portfolio deals are our most flexible promotions, and properties can reactively set them up based on their business needs. The booking period, stay period and other details can be customised to their requirements and to meet market trends. We recommend running Portfolio deals for a timeframe of between three and five months but the choice is entirely up to each property.

  • Basic Deal – allows properties to customise offers from scratch. Properties offering this deal have seen their bookings increase by 34%.
  • Early Booker Deal – encourages bookings from travellers planning their trip far in advance. Properties offering this deal have seen their bookings increase by 10%.
  • Last-minute Deal – attracts last-minute bookers. Properties offering this deal have seen their bookings increase by 15%.


Target key travel seasons with ready-made campaign deals

Campaign deals are annual promotions that run over predefined periods, providing consistent calendar moments for properties to capitalise on wider travel demand. We heavily promote campaign deals across multiple customer channels, including email, our home page, our app and other affiliate channels.

  • Early Year Deal – available during the first three months of the year, this deal helps secure early-season revenue by encouraging guests to start their travels in the new year, for less. Properties offering this deal have seen their bookings increase by 12%.
  • Getaway Deal – lasts from the end of March to September each year and offers discounts that help to capture the demand from travellers searching for getaway inspiration. Properties offering this deal have seen their bookings increase by 14%.
  • Late Escape Deal – this deal allows properties to offer tailored rates from October until the end of the year to boost their bookings and increase their revenue. Properties offering this deal have seen their bookings increase by 11%.


Capture demand spikes with Deep deals

Deep deals are short-term reactive promotions that offer guests high discounts and encourage spikes of demand, like our Black Friday Deals. We promote these with search result badges and provide marketing support to help properties maximise exposure. Please note that Deep deals aren’t stackable with other pricing offers, such as Genius discounts.

Black Friday Deal – capitalises on a key moment when travellers seek out discounts on our platform. We designed Black Friday Deals to make your properties stand out to potential bookers by displaying a badge on their property page and also providing them with marketing support. Properties offering this deal have seen their bookings increase by 38%.


Tap into distinct traveller segments with targeted rates

Targeted rates let you tap into select market segments, such as mobile bookers or travellers from a specific country.

Our research uncovered that properties who offered targeted rates received up to 28% more bookings on average from their target audience. The Promotions API currently offers two types of targeted rates: mobile rates and country rates.
