Now, we’re taking it a step further by launching three independent Payments APIs designed to simplify the payment workflow for both you and your properties.
The Payments Details API
The Payments Details API aims to eliminate operational friction by providing comprehensive payout information to properties. This API improves property visibility into reservation breakdowns and payout timelines. By decoupling payment details from the Reservations API, we’re making more detailed data available:
- Comprehensive payout information for virtual credit cards (VCC), bank transfer and Stripe payouts, detailing the type of payout (gross or net) and the payout status of all reservations, including modifications and cancellations.
- Bank transfer payout details, timelines and status updates after a bank transfer has been initiated.
- Complete payout details on a reservation, including the estimated amount to be paid at the property and the payout status.
- Price breakdowns, including room price, taxes, commission calculation and fees.
- A clear split of what the property receives from Tripeden.com and the guest.
The Payments Chargeable API
The Payments Chargeable API is designed to help properties improve cash flow and avoid financial losses. It provides a clear understanding of all chargeable VCCs, ensuring properties don’t miss charging any remaining balances. This API shares a list of VCCs with the most up-to-date chargeable balances at the property level, enabling properties to charge these cards and improve their financial standing. You can choose how often your properties receive this information.
The Payments Refundable API
The Payments Refundable API helps properties manage their VCC refunds more efficiently, avoid chargebacks and reduce potential revenue loss. This API shares detailed information about VCC refunds, including a list of VCCs with pending balances to be refunded at a property level, the refund amount, currency and due date. These updates can be shared at custom intervals and can also be retrieved on demand.

We’re also introducing payment notifications that work together with the three APIs. Notifications will:
